I am very old. How did that happen, I wonder? I live in the country in the Ouachita Mountains of Arkansas. I moved here, from the big city where I spent my life, because of the trees. I do prefer more trees and fewer people. I also like dark skies, hills, streams, and rocky outcrops. There are plenty of those things where I live. Why Grandmother Greendragon? That’s a long and rather tangled family story, but it is a nickname given to me by one of my granddaughters.

I would love to tell you my story, but anyone my age has a lengthy tale. Very few are interested. Therefore I listen more than I talk. That is a habit of writers. But to be a real writer I would have to be much more selfish and non-conformist than I am. I would like to be that person. Maybe there is still time. I do come from a long-lived family on the female side.
